This month’s Maxxis Man Off-roader knows that when it comes to tyres that go the distance on any terrain or territory, his Maxxis Razrs get him there every time — while also helping to give his vehicle that extremely good-looking edge!
Enduring “Maxxis Man” Declan Jeffery from South-East Melbourne, has been a long-time user of Maxxis tyres. He trusts his Razrs with both his day trips to Neerim and into the expansive Wombat State Forest and more intense adventures in the notoriously steep, rocky and treacherous Victorian High Country around Wahalla, Aberfeldy and Mt Selma.
Fitted to his modified 1995 Land Rover Defender 130, Declan describes his 35” Razrs as the biggest influence of how his vehicle looks and drives, and an outstanding tough tyre in all conditions that outperform his expectations, every drive!
“They ride awesome on-road, grip extremely well off-road and really have such a good presence on the vehicle,” he says.
Over the 20 months Declan has owned his Defender, it’s seen many upgrades and parts replaced, ensuring it’s totally prepared for business when it comes to the most gruelling off-road encounters!
“Starting with the basics of a bull bar and winch, I have a front bash, diff guards and heavy duty arms up the front. To the rear, I have long arms and a diff lock hooks up to a compressor inside the car. Inside the car, I have a rear seat delete with a full draw system taking up most of the space. Along with a full sound-deading system, the upgraded sound system is a big improvement over factory.”
Thanks for the fantastic Maxxis rap, Declan. And with Maxxis’ great reputation for longevity, we look forward to hearing how your Razrs continue to go the distance as you take on the next off-road adventure and many after that!
