When 4×4 Australia replaced their Isuzu D-Max project vehicle’s factory-fitted tyres with a set of Maxxis RAZR MT772s – the praise just kept on coming!
Chosen for 4×4 Australia’s project vehicle for being up to the challenging tasks ahead as well as for their aggressive good looks while still being street legal, the RAZRs were off to a flying start. And, it wasn’t long before the team were experiencing the tyres’ performance for themselves and telling their Facebook followers all about it!
“We’re loving the Maxxis RAZR mud terrain tyres on our Project D-Max. Quiet on the road, and grip well in the bush.”
Describing the Maxxis tyres’ performance, the 4×4 Australia team said they were the quietest and most mild-mannered mud terrains they’d ever driven on: “Honestly, you wouldn’t know you were driving on muddies as there’s none of that usual hum (or roar) you’d expect from such an aggressive tread pattern.”
The team were also quick to comment on the fact that although they are designed for 15% on-road and 85% off-road use, the RAZRs proved themselves up to the task of on-road driving:
“I’ve since racked up more than 5000km on these tyres and at no stage have they acted strangely on road. This includes a trip to Melbourne from Sydney and back, two trips to Stockton Beach in the pouring rain, as well as general day-to-day driving.”
When it came to proving themselves in the mud, true to form the RAZRZ MT772s’s excelled! “These things clear mud quicker than I can clear my bank account on pay day ….They grip to rocks really well too, thanks to the soft compound and staggered shoulder blocks.”
Plus, there’s more…
4×4 Australia were also impressed with the selection of RAZR sizes available to suit a range of rim sizes, from 15 to 20 inches, with good value pricing also being part of the deal, summed up perfectly with the comment:
“Not bad at all for an aggressive mud-terrain tyre that we’re happy to be used every day of the week.”
