Once again sporting Maxxis RAZR MTs on their trusty GQ Nissan Patrol, the CBT Racing team was raring to go as they lined up for the Goondiwindi 400 from August 22-24, the gruelling fourth round in this year’s ARB Off-Road Racing Series.
Held over 400km of seriously challenging off-road terrain, the event attracted some of the best, most enthusiastic and daring off-roaders from around the country – keen to test their tyres, rigs and their own heightened sense of adventure.
Competing in the Extreme 4WD Class, and on a mission to finish at least in the Top 10, CBT pushed the limits through water, mud and new tracks (which can often result in punctures, but not this time!)
Navigating long straights, narrow turns in and out of the gullies, and even the infamous “Bear Run” did little to hamper the team’s confidence, instead pivoting them into 8th place overall and 1st in Class – finishing a full three laps ahead of the nearest rival in the Extreme 4WD Class!
CBT Team Driver, Christian Trusz said that the outstanding traction of the Maxxis RAZR MT tyres off-road ensured that CBT Racing could get the power of 6L V8 on the dirt. “The RAZRs proved their durability by supporting the GQ Patrol over jumps, whoops and high-speed runs, performing superbly under incredibly tough conditions.”
With Don River Dash 300 at Bowen next on the cards for the CBT this coming weekend – they’re already getting prepared for a lots more off-road action! Good luck to the resilient team – we trust your RAZRs will cut through the competition for another great finish!
